Well it’s been a while since I have written a blog. And for good reason, I have been busy with my art and living my best life. But, the truth is things are slipping away slowly. My mental capacity is dwindling and writing is becoming harder just as reading is harder too. Today is a special day! Today is Sarah Elizabeth Quackenbush’s birthday. She is 18 today. This is extremely significant form me as Sarah is my biological child and I was there for her birth and it is something I will never forget and that changened my life profoundly. Things have been tough for my daughter having to watch what has happenining to he father, and my behavior is not always the best. This causes her much stress on top of all of the other stuff she has going on in her life with graduation and choosing a college to attend. But, she is a Quack and she is persevering and she will be successful I know it, as she is already extremely successful in my eyes and so many others. She is a beautiful vibrant strong young woman with a bright future ahead of her and I am proud to be her father. Now the month of May has many other significant events in store for me as well. In two days I have my disability hearing. This will be the third time I am going in for review and I am hopeful this third time is a charm. I applied for disability in 2022 in November. So some might say boy this has taken a long time. Or you could say boy you have come a long way in that time as I have heard stories of other people having to wait much longer. So lets hope things go my way in a couple of days May 9th at 1:30 pm. Another, exciting event is my trip to Boston University Medical center coming up in a week. My mother, who has been working extremely hard to make all of the travel arrangements, will be traveling with me to Boston on May 12-15. There will be meeting with some of the worlds leading professionals that deal with CTE. Hopefully we will be getting some much needed information about where I stand as far as how far along I am in the four stages of CTE and things I can be doing to improve my quality of life. This is exciting. Once again I must say that I have a wonderful support group with many friends and family praying for me and cheering me on. And to all of them I wish to say Thank You Very Much!!!!
